Whats the cost of registering an Enduring Power of Attorney in Ireland?
As we covered how to register an Enduring Power of Attorney in our recent blog post (available here), the most frequent follow up question we have received from clients is what is the cost of registering an Enduring Power of Attorney.
We have heard from a number of clients, who have contacted the firm through our website (our contact details are here), that they have received a wide range of quotes from various firms across the country, ranging from €1,200 (plus VAT and outlays) to €2,500 (plus VAT and outlays). We believe that this level of fees does not actually reflect the work involved in registering an EPA, nor does it reflect the costs associated with registering a EPA.

Our fee for registering an Enduring Power of Attorney is as follows:
Professional Fee: €800.00
This give a total of under €1,000 (including VAT) to register the EPA.
There are also outlays to be met, such as Commissioner for Oaths fees, Registered Post fees, Law Clerk fees and the fee payable to the Doctor to provide a report on the person who originally executed the Enduring Power of Attorney. We will provide you with our best estimate of the outlays as soon as possible so you are completely aware of all the costs involved.
